TolumiDE (pronounced toe-LU-me-day) is an award winning RnB/Soul Afro-Pop Singer-Songwriter. She was born in Canada, raised in Nigeria and resides in Washington DC, USA. Her Debut album, "My Love' is a sonic collage of music genres: Soul, RnB, Afro-pop, Contemporary Gospel with sprinklings of Jazz, Reggae & Hip-Hop Music. ‘My Love’, is currently available on iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby. The soulful vocalist offers songs in English lyrics, with the occasional interjection of African language showcasing inflections of her African heritage.
TolumiDE has performed at a number of concerts, festivals, churches and other prestigious events. In addition to being a sought-after vocalist, TolumiDE sings with the Hallelujazz Project, and Toby Foyeh and Orchestra Africa, and renders the Nigerian, Canadian or American National Anthems when requested. Other acts she has opened for include Salif Keita, 2face Idibia, P-Square, D'Banj. TolumiDE offers a range of dynamic and audience grabbing performances and has gained numerous fans from her releases and music videos. The recipient of the coveted Nigeria Entertainment Award for Best Female R&B Artist, she’s already been recognized in the motherland as one of the brightest music stars of the day.
The accompanying video, for the title track 'My Love' directed by Tayo Abereoje from Black Royal Pictures has been in rotation on the MTV Base, Channel O (South Africa), Trace (Europe), Gospel Music Channel (USA), MBOA TV, Nigezie and ONE Gospel TV and many online outlets. The video earned her a Channel O Music Video Awards (South Africa) nomination in the Most Gifted R&B category. In recent news, TolumiDE was featured on ‘Oya!’ the first single released from Garden Theater's 'The Heartbeat' musical production.
